About Ava
Ava Cuvay is an award-winning bestselling author of out of this world Sci-fi and Paranormal Romance featuring sassy heroines, gutsy heroes, passion, adventure… and the word “moist”.
She resides in central Indiana with her own scruffy-looking nerfherder and teen kiddos who think her “Rizz” is “cringe” but she “passes the vibe check” and her books “hit different.” No cap.
She believes life is too short to bother with negative people, everything is better with Champagne, and Han Solo shot first. Star Wars references are her love language.
Ava’s Backstory
As a child, I was an avid reader and writer. In fact, I kept a three-ring binder with many of the stories I’d written… tangible proof of my growth and something precious to look back on in fondness. Alas, in a fit of teenage embarrassment over my “dorky childish stories,” I threw it away. Fortunately, my grandmother kept one. And yeah, teenage me was right: it was pretty dorky.
Flash forward to adulthood, and I continued to write. Corporate emails, newsletters, and marketing materials (#notromance). Then, on a milestone birthday vacation in Las Vegas with my friend, I tossed around the idea of writing a book. Blame the poolside margaritas or thank my ever-supportive friend, but I began writing. And writing and writing. I finished three stories. I submitted a couple to a local unpublished author contest. I learned in excruciating detail how much I DID NOT KNOW about writing.
But, I also won.
I’ve been published since 2016, and have loved nearly every minute of it. I’ve met wonderful people, from other authors to readers to the me I hadn’t known I could be. And every time I publish, it’s an offering to the world, saying “I hope within these pages, you can escape for a bit, laugh, cry, wonder, and love. And I hope your panties get moist.”
Because that’s how I roll ;-p
The Hoosier Triplets
A few years ago, Ava and her fellow Hoosier Author pals, Melanie Jayne and Cindy Tanner, discovered they were attending many of the same author events, and decided to travel together to save on some of those expenses and offer each other moral support.
What began as a financial decision, ended up growing our friendship until we teasingly referred to ourselves as the Hoosier Triplets. A trio of Indiana authors road tripping through the romance genre, learning and laughing and loving what we do.
Well, the nickname grew wings. Or, rather, it grew wheels (to continue with the road-trip analogy) and became so much more than just an easy way to refer to the three of us. So, in early 2024, we let the rubber meet the road and began our Hoosier Triplets Podcast. Monthly recordings of us casually chatting about romancelandia, author/reader issues, and usually veering wildly off-topic and sharing waaaay too much personal information.
